Hi there!

I work with mothers as they move through the big changes that come with welcoming a child. Whether it’s your first baby or your fifth, each journey is different, and each one deserves to be held with care.

Support can be helpful at any stage—not only in the hardest moments. I’m here to listen to your concerns, hold space for you, and walk alongside you at whatever stage you’re in.

I support women from conception and far beyond. This reflects what I know to be true: that each mother will face their own unique challenges at different points in their mothering journey and at different developmental stages that their children are moving through. I hold mothers across these moments in time and continue to do so as long as you need.

I’m Erin. I’m a psychologist and mum of three.

Parenthood has a way of turning life upside down—the joy, the exhaustion, and everything in between. I know that mix well, and I’m here to support you through it.

My approach is grounded in matrescence, self-compassion, mindfulness, gratitude, and attachment.

In practice, that means creating a safe and steady space where you can share openly, explore what feels heavy, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

I draw on a range of therapeutic tools, always guided by evidence-based and trauma-informed practice. At the heart of it all, I believe there’s no “perfect” way to parent—just the way that feels right for you and your family.

Extra Things To Know

  • I have availability for sessions on Thursdays and Friday.

All sessions are done online via zoom and run for 60mins.

I see all clients on a fortnightly basis. Once we arrange a day and time, this will become your ongoing session day and time for the duration that we work together.

This rhythm helps create consistency, which is vital when we’re doing deep and often tender work. Knowing you have a regular space carved out just for you can bring a sense of steadiness and reliability in a season of life that often feels unpredictable.

Meeting regularly also allows us to build forward momentum—each session builds on the last, so you’re not starting over each time but instead moving steadily toward the changes and support you’re seeking. This structure makes it easier to stay engaged in the process and helps ensure you feel held and supported along the way.

  • 60min subsequent session: $245

    90 minute initial session: $355

For reference, The Australian Psychological Society National Schedule of Suggested Fees 2025-2026 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $318. For The Australian Association for Psychologists Inc it is $330 for a 40-60min session.

  • I take both self-referrals for private paying sessions, and GP referrals that allow for medicare rebates (with some out of pocket cost). I do not provide bulk billed services.

If you would like to access the MHCP rebate, you will need a referral from your GP. They can send the referral to the practice by emailing yara@lifeafterbirth.com.au

  • Yes, I provide psychological services under the medicare better access program. In order to have access to the medicare rebate, you need a mental health care plan from your GP prior to starting sessions with me. If you dont’' have one at your first appointment, you will need to cover the total cost of the session as they can’t be back dated.

Medicare rebates (as of August 2025)

    • Telehealth rebate for 60min sessions: $98.95 (out of pocket $146.05)

Private health - check your own provider

  • Full details will be provided within consent forms at the commencement of services.

I understand first hand that life happens, and I can make decisions based on compassionate grounds. However, I do ask for a minimum of 48hours to cancel or reschedule an appointment so that I can fill the space with another client.

Cancellations less that 48 hours prior will incur a fee of 50% of the full fee, and cancellations less that 24hrs (or no shows) incur the full fee.
